Die Battlefield-Community blickt gespannt auf das kommende Wochenende: Vom 23. bis 26. Mai findet der offizielle Pre-Alpha Server Performance Test für den nächsten Battlefield-Titel statt. Electronic Arts und das Battlefield-Entwicklerteam laden ausgewählte Spieler ein, die Serverstabilität und Performance unter realen Bedingungen auf die Probe zu stellen.
Was ist der Pre-Alpha Server Performance Test?
Der Fokus dieses Tests liegt klar auf der technischen Seite: Das Entwicklerteam möchte herausfinden, wie stabil und leistungsfähig die Server bei erhöhten Spielerzahlen über ein ganzes Wochenende hinweg laufen. Es handelt sich dabei nicht um eine klassische Beta mit Fokus auf Gameplay-Feedback, sondern um einen Stresstest für die Infrastruktur.
Ablauf und Zeitplan
- Start: Freitag, 23. Mai, 10:00 Uhr (MESZ)
- Dauer: 72 Stunden (bis Montagmorgen)
- Ziel: Überprüfung von Server-Performance und Stabilität bei hoher Auslastung
Wer kann teilnehmen?
Die Teilnahme ist nur auf Einladung möglich. EA verschickt die Einladungen in den Tagen vor dem Test an ausgewählte Spieler. Wer dabei ist, erhält die Möglichkeit, einen ersten Blick auf das neue Battlefield zu werfen – wenn auch in einer sehr frühen, technisch fokussierten Version.
So meldest du dich an!
Um dich für die Testphasen von Battlefield 6 anzumelden, folge diesen Schritten:
- Besuche die offizielle Website von Battlefield Labs.
- Klicke auf „Jetzt registrieren“ auf der Startseite.
- Melde dich mit deinem EA-Konto an oder erstelle ein neues Konto.
- Optional: Trete dem offiziellen Battlefield Labs-Discord-Server bei.
- Achte auf E-Mails vom EA Playtesting Team in deinem Postfach.
Da die Nachfrage extrem hoch ist, solltest du Geduld mitbringen. DICE lässt immer nur eine bestimmte Anzahl an Spieler pro Playtest zu. Der Server Performance Playtest, wird dabei der bisher umfangreichste Playtest im Rahmen von Battlefield Labs sein.
Warum ist dieser Test wichtig?
Solche Pre-Alpha-Tests sind entscheidend, um vor dem eigentlichen Release kritische Schwachstellen in der Server-Architektur zu identifizieren und zu beheben. Gerade bei großen Multiplayer-Titeln wie Battlefield, bei denen Matches mit vielen Spielern gleichzeitig stattfinden, ist eine stabile Infrastruktur das A und O für ein positives Spielerlebnis.
